From his early passion for aviation, Wally Badarou developed an interest in synthesizers and recording studios, which he describes as “the cockpit of an airplane ready for takeoff, soaring over incredible landscapes and landing safely, even if most of the time it’s somewhere unexpected.” A self-taught musician, he began his career as a studio musician in Paris before gaining international recognition through his contribution to the British group M’s 1979 new wave hit Pop Muzik. In the early 1980s, he joined the legendary Compass Point All Stars as keyboardist and arranger, recording alongside Grace Jones, Joe Cocker, Mick Jagger, and Gregory Isaacs. A longtime collaborator of the British band Level 42, he contributed from the outset to the writing, arrangements, instrumentation, and co-production of their albums. Passionate about studio consoles, he also produced albums by Fela Kuti, Salif Keita, and Wasis Diop. In 1989, he composed and directed the music for the bicentenary parade of the French Revolution conceived by Jean-Paul Goude, before helping organize the Kora All Africa Music Awards in the late 1990s. For several years now, he has been developing The Unnamed Trilogy, a vast long-term project bringing together around thirty instrumental pieces and songs.

SLICKnBOBBY is a London-based ensemble rooted in dub, reggae, soul, and bass cultures. Drawing on Black Britain's soundsystem continuum traditions, the band combines dub with newer influences from grime, post-punk and the concrete jungle.

Errol and Alex Rita form a multidisciplinary duo of artists, DJ, curators and co-founders of Touching Bass. Founded in 2016, the South London-based musical movement consists of a club night, NTS Radio staple show, award-nominated record label, concert series and curatorial studio, which has slow-cooked to become one of the UK’s most respected platforms. The concert at the Bourse de Commerce is curated by Errol and Sammseed.
