European Night of Museums

For its first participation in the European Night of Museums, the Bourse de Commerce - Pinault Collection, which opened in May 2021, is welcoming visitors for an exceptional free night from 7pm to midnight free of charge. With family or friends, on Saturday 14 May you will have the opportunity to discover the architecture of the monument and the Charles Ray, Roni Horn and Felix Gonzalez-Torres, and Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster exhibitions, as well as the "Protest Sounds" selection of artist films through a programme of thematic guided tours organized specifically for the event.

Free access to the exhibitions and the museum

Throughout your visit, our mediators will answer your questions, providing different points of view and insights, inviting you to take a closer look at the works of art, ensuring that you won’t miss out on any of the beauty and key features of the building.

Thematic guided tours (30 mins)

The works by Charles Ray which populate the museum are all references to the history of sculpture: Auguste Rodin, Michelangelo, Donatello... The American artist enters into dialogue with the great masters, always revisiting, with a certain irony, the great tradition of sculpture. Discover his work through the great classics.
7.30 p.m. / 8.30 p.m. / 9.30 p.m. / 10.30 p.m.
Free admission, no booking required, subject to availability.

In 1990, Felix Gonzalez-Torres was overwhelmed by a work by Roni Horn which he encountered in a museum. This work was the trigger for a dialogue between the two artists—a friendship feeding into an artistic conversation, one work responding to another. For the first time in a museum, an exhibition tells the story of this close relationship.
7 p.m. / 8 p.m. / 9 p.m. / 10 p.m. / 11 p.m.
Free admission, no booking required, subject to availability.

How can stone be transformed into concrete, the past into the present? What dialogue do different generations have with each other? Architecture can be understood as a symbolic gesture, revealing previously invisible perspectives, shapes, colours, and materials. Explore the museum following the curves of Tadao Ando’s unique architectural statement.
7.30 p.m. / 8.30 p.m. / 9.30 p.m. / 10.30 p.m.

Accompanied by a mediator, children and adults visit the museum together and discover the many forms, materials, and histories of the sculptures on display.
