“Brume(s) matinale(s)”(Morning mist) offer a different rhythm for encountering contemporary art: a suspended moment, attentive to sensations and to the relationship between the body, the artwork, and architecture.

As part of the exhibition "Clair-obscur", dive into the evanescent world of Cloud #07156, a Fog Sculpture by Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya presented in the Rotunda of the museum, through an original sensory discovery experience.

Taking place in the morning, outside opening hours, this event invites visitors to step inside the work itself, one of Fujiko Nakaya’s “Fog Sculptures.” Made of water vapour, these sculptures are shaped by variations in air currents and by visitors’ movements, whose bodies appear and disappear within a dense white cloud with shifting, uncertain contours.

During a progressive immersion guided by museum guides, the whole body is engaged through a series of exercises: moments of contemplation, collective movement, absorption of the mist, observation of the sky—activating sight, touch, and hearing. Perception focuses on changes in density, light, and temperature, as well as on the transformation of space, at the threshold between the visible and the invisible.

This experience allows visitors to physically engage with the immersive artistic project of the artist, as well as with the architecture of the museum’s Rotunda in a new way, before freely exploring the exhibition "Clair-obscur".

For visitors’ comfort and due to the conditions of the visit, the presence of very young children is not recommended. This activity is conducted in French only.
