On 28 and 29 November 2025, Pinault Collection invites its members to an exclusive immersion into the London art scene, in partnership with Christie’s Education.
This exceptional trip will offer the opportunity to discover, with privileged access, behind the scenes of the world’s most famous auction house, as well as the key cultural events that make London one of the world’s art capitals.
Friday, 28 November: Behind the scenes at Christie’s
The first day will begin with a welcome to Christie’s by Guillaume Cerutti, President of Pinault Collection and Chairman of Christie's, and Ted Sandling, Global Director of Christie's Education, followed by a private tour of the Classic Week exhibitions, led by a Christie's specialist. Members will then have the privilege of entering Christie's warehouse, where works are assessed, valued, and prepared for sale.
A convivial buffet lunch will be shared in Christie’s boardroom, alongside the Global Director of Education and Aliki Braine, art historian and artist, who will guide the group throughout the trip.
The afternoon will continue with the Making Masterpieces workshop, an in-depth presentation and demonstration by Aliki Braine, exploring historic painting and drawing techniques, including making egg tempera, pricking and pouncing and oil painting. Members will conclude the day with a visit to an emblematic gallery.
Saturday, 29 November: The modern and contemporary London scene
The following day will focus on modern and contemporary creation. Members will discover the prestigious Courtauld Collection and its exhibition dedicated to Wayne Thiebaud, American Still Life.
Lunch is not included in the package.
In the afternoon, follow the guide through some of the London’s most dynamic contemporary galleries (the Serpentine Gallery will notably present a major exhibition dedicated to Peter Doig).
Subject to a minimum of 20 participants. Visits will be conducted in French. Schedule subject to change.
Christie’s Classic Week brings together outstanding examples of Old Masters, antiquities, and decorative arts in a series of remarkable auctions.
