Curated by Nicola Di Croce (SSH! Sound Studies Hub – Iuav University of Venice) and Stefania Rigoni (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano), the masterclass with ALMARE proposes a collective exploration focused on enhancing the narrative potential of sound-based practices.

Through a speculative approach to listening, the working method aims to bring out the different ways in which sound narratives can function both as spaces for layering meanings and as opportunities for interpreting reality.

The masterclass is open to everyone and envisions an outcome that cuts across both artistic and curatorial perspectives.

ALMARE is dedicated to artistic languages that use sound as an expressive medium.
It operates in the field of cultural production through curating, writing, music and editorial projects; it organizes events and educational initiatives, and produces podcasts and other sound-based works.
ALMARE explores the notion of listening and the ways in which it shapes social and political dynamics.
