Free admission to the installation, by reservation.
For the European Night of Museums, the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection invites visitors to discover an exceptional artwork in the Rotunda, with free admission, from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. With family or friends, this Saturday, May 23, will also be an opportunity to explore the museum’s architecture in a unique atmosphere.
French artist Renaud Auguste-Dormeuil (born 1968) will reactivate his installation I Will Keep A Light Burning. Beneath the glass dome of the Rotunda of the Bourse de Commerce, transformed into a celestial observatory, the artist gives form to the lines of tomorrow’s sky.
Lit gradually over the course of the evening, candles slowly reveal a constellation of the future: a vast circle materialising the invisible, a map of the Paris sky 100 years from now. Over the span of a single night, as thousands of candles are lit and extinguished, past, present and future intertwine.
