Versus! International Poetry Slam
The first edition of the International Poetry Slam competition takes place at the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi. Between words and performance, the happening brings voice back into poetry and underlines its ability to generate a comunity and to engage the public by letting it choose the winner.
13 December
Teen Slam
Special appointment dedicated to the Teens. After a series of workshops dedicated to poetry led by poets Lello Voce, Sergio Garau, Rosaria Lo Russo, Alessandro Burbank, Gabriele Frasca and Julian Zhara, the last appointment is open to the public.
14 December
Versus! International Poetry Slam
Poets: Eugenia Galli (Italy), Raquel Lima (Portugal), Youness Mernissi (Belgium), Evelyn Rasmussen Osazuwa (Norway), Laura Sam (Spain), Simone Savogin (Italy), Luigi Socci (Italy) and Rachele Pavolucci, winner of the contest of 16 November at Libreria MarcoPolo, Venice. With the participation of the winner of Teen Slam, the appointment of poetry slam dedicated on Wedneday 13 December to high school students. After 3 workshops with different poets, the winner proclaimed among the young slammers has the opportunity to perform on the occasion of Versus! International Poetry Slam.
