Musician and sound artist Omar Gabriel is at the Teatrino for the performance (p)repairedpiano presented in the framework of the partnership between Palazzo Grassi with Centrale Fies and BHMF for the support of the fellowship Agitu Ideo Gudeta.
Omar Gabriel's artistic research reflects on the refraction of identity and memories and how these intertwine with the experience of diasporic and queer bodies. (p)repairedpiano is a performative musical work that stems from the encounter of two instrumental bodies, the berimbau and the piano. It explores the idea of transcorporeality as the possibility of being multiple: a reflection on the experience of the diasporic body and the pluralities of identity within it.
