On the occasion of the new edition of Art Night Venezia, the exhibitions "Lorna Simpson. Third Person" and "Paulo Nazareth. Algebra" at Punta della Dogana will be open to the public for free on Saturday 20 June, from 7 pm to 11 pm (last admission at 10 pm).
“Lorna Simpson. Third Person” is a major monographic project that, for the first time in Europe on such a scale, highlights an overview of more than ten years of the North American artist’s painting practice.
The first floor of the historic Dogana da Mar hosts “Paulo Nazareth. Algebra”. The work of the Brazilian artist Paulo Nazareth invites visitors to follow him on his journeys, an ongoing performance revealing how colonial cartography and systemic racism have shaped the landscapes of modernity.
