The German computer music artist Robert Henke presents for the first time a performance of his latest album Dust, produced after a period as artist-in-residence at Corte Supernova, a new space for audiovisual productions in Venice. The album is the result of a collection of sample loops based on outdoor recordings. An opening act with a live-set by Renick Bell and a DJ-set by Susanne Kirchmayr, alias Electric Indigo is also scheduled.
Robert Henke's musical work has a particular focus on rhythm, timbre and color, and he is recognised as a pioneering explorer of surround sound and wave field synthesis. Robert Henke is also one of the main creators of the music software Ableton Live, which since its invention in 1999 became the standard tool for electronic music production and completely redefined the performance practice of electronic music.
The project is organised by Corte Supernova in collaboration with Palazzo Grassi – Punta della Dogana, produced by PAS-E & MACO Film.
