Jean-Paul Belmondo has received the Golden Lion for Career Achievement at the 73rd Venice Film Festival. The Alliance française de Venise and the Teatrino celebrate the iconic French actor with the screening of three of his most famous and evocative films. Opening the cycle is Mauro Bolognini’s La Vaccia (1961) co-starring Claudia Cardinale, followed by François Truffaut’s La Sirène du Mississippi (1969) with Catherine Deneuve. Les mariés de l’an II (1971), a historical comedy directed by Jean-Paul Rappeneau concludes the evening in the presence of Jean-Paul Belmondo.
