The Teatrino hosts the conference “On the Politics of Fragments and the Perception of Lacunas. Science Diplomacy and Heritage” dedicated to the intersection of artistic practice, research, diplomacy and heritage to establish dialogue in an era of tensions, climate change and technological advances where culture, the foundation of human identity, is often at risk. Topics addressed during the day include the use of artificial intelligence and satellite imagery for heritage conservation, the diplomatic dimensions of art and culture, and the negotiation of the restitution of museum collections.

The conference includes, at 4 pm, a public talk with Ali Cherri in dialogue with Bruno Racine, Director of Palazzo Grassi — Punta della Dogana, followed by a performance by the artist in the atrium of Palazzo Grassi at 5.30 pm.

Organised by Christina Hainzl, University Krems; Eric Piaget, EUTOPIA & European Union Science Diplomacy Alliance, UNESCO and Institute for the Danube Region & Central Europe (IDM) in collaboration with Palazzo Grassi — Punta della Dogana.
