Invernomuto - Black Med, Chapter VIII

Free

Invernomuto, the artistic personality created in 2003 by Simone Bertuzzi and Simone Trabucchi, is at the Teatrino for a listening session part of the sound research project Black Med

Black Med is a research and documentation project conceived by Invernomuto in 2018: an uninterrupted selection of tracks, stories and paths of the Mediterranean, without any geographical intent. Black Med is an archive that, moving between different contexts and adding new tiles to the mosaic each time, defines a new possible narrative of European identity, articulated and multifaceted, in opposition to xenophobic simplifications.

With Black Med, Chapter VIII, the archive moves offline and reconfigures itself into a performative listening session, supported by projections, theoretical texts and background music, grouped by elegiac themes. A sound journey through marginal zones that opposes a narrative based on the immobility of the border: fixed lines, oceans and borders armed by EU states are crossed to show the incoherence of a Europe that rejects transnational and migratory routes.

On 28 and 29 October Invernomuto also conducts a Masterclass dedicated to sound research and aimed at providing some keys to interpreting and analysing sound and its visual representation starting from the Black Med project.
