How to put art in a book

Free

"How to put art in a book" is an initiative focusing on the role of publishing and its manifold relations with art that is curated by Leonardo Sonnoli and Irene Bacchi presented in collaboration with Palazzo Grassi.

The project is articulated in two encounters and a showcase of publications selected by the curators of the project and some of the most prominent contemporary artists, designers and curators. They have been invited to choose five volumes among monographs, exhibition catalogues or artists' books which they consider remarkable or unique because of the way they represent, enter in dialogue with or even become works of art. Participants include Luca Massimo Barbero, Irma Boom, AA Bronson, Tony Brook, Salvatore Settis, Taryn Simon, who are also invited to discuss and comment their choices during two public talks on 9 and 10 November.

The selected books are featured in the exhibition in the Foyer of the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi from 9 to 19 November.
