Grand Tour con Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo

The new project Grand Tour is conceived as a moment of training and growth through the exchange of knowledge, experiences, ideas and goals between museums and institutions in Europe.
For the first edition, Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana open their doors to the education department of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo from Turin, an important centre for contemporary art in Italy. The staff from the Foundation have planned two days of talks and activities for all age groups.

Art Kit: 10 questions to talk with art
The staff from the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo tells us about their special method to approach contemporary art works and then involve us in a practical activity. "Art Kit" is an incredible tool to discover today's art, useful for everyone who works in education and cultural mediation and wishes to reflect on their own professional practice.

Conversation on light
The discovery of contemporary art like meeting someone we do not know and with whom we would like to establish a contact, to develop an exchange or even simply a moment of discussion: this is the approach suggested by the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo. At Palazzo Grassi, the education department of the Foundation invites secondary school classes to a guided tour of the exhibition "The Illusion of Light", involving the teenagers in an intense exchange of questions and answers that lead us to the reading of art works and to understanding their themes.

The Big Draw
Look, think, invent and take action: this is the process that is triggered when we draw something. Palazzo Grassi turns into a great workshop of collective drawing for people who like to draw and people who are convinced they are incapable of drawing. The visitors of all ages have the possibility of taking part by walking freely in the museum and stopping at the 6 stations set up in the exhibition rooms. Discover all the secrets of drawing techniques and contribute to the final drawing. Prerequists to participate: spirit of adventure and desire to be all together!
