For its fifth edition, the film series at Palazzo Grassi, curated by critic and curator Dominique Païni, returns to the Teatrino.
The Faraway Cinema series: eight films from Africa, America and Asia, brings the seventh art into dialogue with the exhibitions dedicated to Michael Armitage and Amar Kanwar at Palazzo Grassi, and to Lorna Simpson and Paulo Nazareth at Punta della Dogana. A journey across different eras and geographies, through films that address social, cultural and political issues, in dialogue with the artists’ works and sensibilities.
