Atelier des Enfants

“Atelier des Enfants” is a project dedicated to art and education and to the relationship between artistic practices and educational research open to children aged 7 to 11.

  • 23-24 October: Driant Zeneli – ‘C’era una volta… il Mose e la Medusa’
The first guest is the artist and filmmaker Driant Zeneli (1983, Shkoder, Albania). His films, installations and performances investigate the artist’s attraction for illusions, failures, attempts and dreams or utopia as elements that generate alternative points of view. He leads the workshop ‘C'era una volta... il Mose e la Medusa’, inspired by Venice and dedicated to robotics as a discipline deeply related to the idea of utopia, in which humanities and sciences come together. Driant Zeneli invites the young participants to imagine possible worlds by drawing and building a jellyfish robot capable of cleaning the MOSE, which appears as a sea monster, and will work on the interaction between man and machine.
  • 16-18 December: Quattrox4
The second guest of Atelier des Enfants is the contemporary circus company Quattrox4, which has been promoting contemporary circus as an artistic language since 2011. Quattrox4 has conceived a creative workshop inspired by the Contrapposto, half-way between equilibrium, imitation fragility, and endurance. Contemporary circus emerged in the 1970s in France of a mix between physical theatre, circus disciplines and contemporary dance. Quattrox4 focuses on promoting and teaching acrobatic and circus disciplines to children and adults by working on the development of fine motor skills and by using the body as a means of expression and rediscovery of the relationship with the other.
