On the occasion of Cows by the Water, the exhibition dedicated to Albert Oehlen at Palazzo Grassi, the museum presents a calendar of events to discover the work and the spirit of this artist.
Albert Oehlen puts at the heart of his artistic research the intention to constantly challenge painting, to experiment with new techniques and to abandon the stereotypes associated with the act of painting.
The talk between Jean-Pierre Criqui, curator at Musée national d’art moderne – Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and MarkGodfrey, curator at Tate Modern in London, focuses on the particular relationship between painter and painting established in Albert Oehlen’s work.
