On the occasion of the exhibition "Icônes" at Punta della Dogana, the Teatrino organises the screening of akingdoncomethas (105', 2018) by Arthur Jafa, a work that is linked to the themes of the icon and the status of the image.
The video work investigates the question of the status of the icon, at the heart of the show ‘Icônes’, through a montage composed of sermons and gospel songs recorded within Black congregations in the United States.
