Fragments. Guided Tour of Palazzo Grassi and “Amar Kanwar. Co-travellers”

The guided tour takes participants on a journey of (re)discovery through the history of the fragments which, taken together, have shaped the history of Palazzo Grassi. 
Starting with an exploration of the reasons behind its irregular layout and tracing the chequered history of its decorations, the tour leads to the exhibition "Amar Kanwar. Co-travellers". The Indian artist’s multimedia installations highlight the importance of the fragment as the smallest unit of a narrative steeped in philosophy and attuned to today’s political and social issues.

The event is part of UniVerso: la ricerca si racconta, a programme of activities and talks designed to help visitors discover Venice through the eyes of the University’s academic community. A journey through unpublished stories, interactive tours and experiences dedicated to history, art, science and innovation, offering new perspectives on the city and its landmarks.
