Festival Luigi Nono – Nuvole uccelli lacrime umane

As part of the 9th edition of the Luigi Nono Festival 2026, the Teatrino presents Nuvole uccelli lacrime umane (Clouds, Birds, Human Tears), a live sound-enhanced reading based on Rosa Luxemburg, Nuvole, uccelli e lacrime umane. Lettere su natura e rivoluzione (Rosa Luxemburg, Clouds, Birds and Human Tears. Letters on Nature and Revolution), edited by Caterina Russia Zamboni (NdA Press, Rimini, 2025).

The performance weaves together voice, spoken word, music, and images through the interpretations of Giovanna Boscarino (narrator), Giacomo Salis (percussion), and Emanuele Wiltsch Barberio (live electronics), with text selection and video intervention by Caterina Russia Zamboni. Balamòs Teatro, directed by Michalis Traitsis, helps shape a performative experience dedicated to Rosa Luxemburg and the relationship between political thought, nature, and revolution.

The event is curated by the Luigi Nono Archive Foundation, with an introduction by musicologist Veniero Rizzardi.
